In the contemporary art group exhibition In the Name of Flowers currently exhibited at the Pearl Art Museum, eight female artists including Ai Jing, Bi Rongrong, Zhong Sujun, Asami Kiyokawa, Klara Kristalova, Liang Ying, Sun Yue, and Zhang Zipiao trigger the audience empathy from a unique perspective and in a special creation language to make audience further consider the connotation expressed in the works.

Open the photo album of art history, famous contemporary female artists such as Georgia O'keeffe, Frida Kahlo, Yayoi Kusama, and Marina Abramović have presented an art world that is more diversified and distinctive to the public from respective unique perspectives in their own times. Currently, the art creation breaks the gender restriction. An increasing number of excellent female artists begin to stand out and rise to pioneers of creation. From the objectives being gazed to self-awareness and pioneers of independent creation, they are continuously moving forward.
At the afternoon of this Sunday, Ms. Lu Rongzhi, curator, critic, and “Mother of China Contemporary Art Curation” will be invited to look back on the female artists both home and abroad and explore their yesterday’s and today’s art paths at the Heart Hall of the Pearl Art Museum.
She is the current professor of PhD Class of Creative Industry of College of Management at Shih Chien University, contributing editor of The Artist, founder and creative director of VIKI LULUHOUSE, class tutor of M.A. in Movie Business and Management of Superior School of Cinema and Audiovisual of Catalonia (ESCAC), independent film producer and director, and screenwriter and director of Re: Promises.
She translated the word “curator” into Chinese as “策展人”. She is the first female critic who writes art reviews in Chinese in China contemporary art circle and first female curator. She is also the creator of Animamix theory and biennial.
