People who are impacted by the industrial environment accidentally find that nowadays many instruments in various forms can make sounds beyond the traditional scales. The combined sound made from different instruments does not only contain dodecatonic scale but also rich and diverse overtones. Even the human voice is a kind of flexible and vibrant instrument. Many niche instruments are featured with unique timbre music and designed and made by skillful craftsmen.

On this Saturday, the Pear Art Museum invited the handpan player Shi Lei and Digeridoo player Wang Mengying to present how timbre music was transferred into another richer language with their distinguished performance to express emotions, outline the scene and record inner voice. Meanwhile, their performance was combined with the Exhibition of “Victor Hugo: The Inner World of a Talent” currently held in the Pear Art Museum, grasping the inspiration burst in the moment when music, art and literature meet by chance and sharing the most vivid first scene with audiences.
