Professor and Ph.D. advisor of Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, judge of Fu Lei Translation and Publishing Award

He was born in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. He is former editor-in-chief of the World Literature, professor and Ph.D. advisor of Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and judge of Fu Lei Translation and Publishing Award. He is currently appointed as chair professor of Xiamen University. Due to his long-term engagement in the translation, review, and study of French literature, he was granted the Chevalier-grade of Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French government. In 2018, he won Lu Xun Literature Prize.
